keay.k (pronounced cake) is a micro-bakery by meg keay, that crafts baked goods from a, ‘food is medicine’ approach.

Stemming from a personal need for balanced gut-health, meg healed autoimmune related issues through a decade of recipe development + seeking a different approach to sourcing + preparing healthy ingredients.

keay.k’s goal is not to be a vegan bakery; but instead a shared desire to link nourishment, satisfaction, + a deeper understanding of how to better source + support mother nature's ingredients.

    keay.k uses only the good ingredients for nourishing desserts that not only support good health, but support positive change in the food industry. these ingredients are also prepped for maximum nourishment in the digestive system.

  • in simple terms, keay.k uses ingredients that are good for the gut. ingredients that are activated + prepped for optimum digestion through soaking + cooking at the right temperatures. sourcing ingredients that don’t typically disrupt the healthy functioning of a happy digestive system, thus eliminating feelings of “gluttony” or discomfort after a sweet treat.

    meg bases the recipes on modern digestion-healthy nutrition, along with ancient traditions that eliminate the key food groups which can typically harm the digestive system. This means all keay.k products are…

    plant based, gluten free, organic, nourishingly sweetened (so no chemically derived sugars, only sugars that still have their vitamins + minerals intact to balance out the digestive process), indigestible starch + gum free, and no peanut, soy, corn, + vegetable or blended oils.

  • refrigerate upon arrival to last a good 6 days, or simply freeze to last a month. to recapture the fresh-baked feels, warm your goods in the oven until the shell is slightly crisp + the inside is warm; approx 350 F for 6 - 10 mins is mwah.
